Student Attendance Policy

It is expected that all students attend school regularly and participate fully and effectively in all the educational programs available in the school. If a student is absent from school, it is expected that the parent/guardian will inform the school of the reason for the absence in writing on the first day of the student's return. The Head Teacher Administration is responsible for monitoring student attendance in conjunction with student advisers for each year. The Attendance Policy addresses problems of partial attendance, that is, students who are regularly late or who regularly seek permission to leave early. Parents and guardians have a responsibility to ensure that a student attends school every day unless there is a legitimate reason. Our school reports always indicate the attendance statistics for each student. The reports distinguish between absences which are accounted for and those which are not.
